Sunday 17th September
The Hogg Memorial Trophy is a traditional GGC competition that has morphed from a ‘Father & Sons’ to a more general ‘all inclusive family’ entry.
Autumn had arrived at Killermont – unfortunately consistent heavy drizzle throughout the afternoon provided an undesirable extra challenge for the 28 foursomes pairings. Despite the inclement weather, it did not dampen the spirits or the scoring, with half the field achieving 30+ Stableford points.
However the day belonged to the Neilson’s, father and son pairing, Captain Donald and son Andrew who shot a fabulous 74 (39 points) including 2x twos at the 11th and 16th.
1st Captain Donald Neilson and son Andrew
2nd Graham Wilson and father Drew
3rd Robert (Bertie) MacMillan and son Douglas
