Despite the awful overnight weather, our Killermont course looked in fantastic condition for the start of our Annual Killermont Guest Invitational.
Always a very popular event on our calendar it proved even more so being fully subscribed within a few hours. In total we had 93 pairs playing from 07.40 until 16.00. (94 entered, one withdrew on day due to injury).
The weather was definitely mixed throughout the day but this did not spoil the enjoyment of those taking part.
An excellent lunch was provided in Tom Morris and James Braid Rooms before Members and Guests headed to the Kelvin Suite for prize giving.
The winners of the golf were as follows:-
Best Gross – Messrs McQuarrie and Kennedy
Best Net – Messrs McKenzie and Petrie
Second Net – Messrs Wilson and Mcpherson
Third Net – Messrs McKain and Murray
Nearest pin 4th hole – Mr Robin O’Neill
Nearest pin 11th hole – Mr Iain Lockhart

On completion of their round, participants were invited to take part in a putting competition in aid of the Captain’s Charity. Circa £1,500 was raised. Many thanks to those who took part. A much bigger thank you to Angus Cameron and his team of helpers for keeping the flow and fun in the sun – well for a bit the sun shone!

There were numerous people involved in organising and running this event, too many to name individually however our sincere thanks are expressed to everyone involved in making the day so enjoyable.
