The Greatest Major
On Wednesday evening we held our annual Arthur Montford US Masters Quiz Evening which was attended by almost 60 people.
The evening was hosted by Alasdair Brown and Glen Frew who provided a very interesting debate on the Greatest Major. Following a show of hands, The Open won which very much pleased our unexpected visitor.
Following the quiz, we were very well entertained by Donald Laing who produced numerous golf swings of previous Masters winners over many decades.
Kevin and his staff ensured we were all looked after on the evening with a delicious Southern State buffet being provided.
First lady in quiz was Karen Neilson with Robert Baillie picking up the gents first prize.
The Donald Laing Challenge was won by Gordon Miller after a play off with our Captain. Sandra Frew collected the first lady’s prize.
The cash sweep held on the evening raised £100 for the Captain’s Charity. The winner of the Sweep will be advised shortly.
