We were delighted to host the Scottish Amateur Championship, which was hailed as a great event by all participants. It was good to see some of our members at Gailes to watch the competition.
The winner was 16-year-old Oliver Mukherjee, who beat Gregor Tait 1up in the final.
In the morning’s semi-finals, Gullane’s Mukherjee was a 3&2 winner over Castle Park’s Connor Wilson, while Tait beat Lewis Irvine by the same score, carding nine threes over the sixteen holes.
There was high praise for the condition of the Golf Course. Thanks to Brian and his Course Team, and Fergus and the Clubhouse Team for making the event such a success.
