In 1905 the Mackie-Service Challenge Cup was presented by the then Captains of the Burgess (Provost Sir Richard Mackie) & Glasgow (Edward Service) clubs.
The Challenge Cup was first played for on the 16th May 1906 at Barnton.
This year’s match was played on Sunday 8th of May again at Barnton with Glasgow being victorious & taking the tally to – 56 Glasgow – 46 Burgess.
Burgess Captain Douglas Stuart presented the cup to a very happy Captain Hamish Macfarlane.
